WHAT IS AN ESCAPE ROOM / ESCAPE GAME?

The escape game genre started out as a series of point-and-click computer games where players must escape from a locked area or room by using the environment around him/her. Deadline is a live version of this, where you must physically search the environment for items and clues that will help you escape. You are given 60 minutes to try and escape before your fate is sealed.

 

WHAT IS PLANET DEADLINE?

Deadline is an escape room venue with a few different experiences. In each of our experiences you will be locked inside a room for a designated amount of time while you and your team try to figure out how to escape. The rooms contain clues, trap doors, and hidden items. Anything in the room may be an important piece in your quest to escape.

 

IS THIS A HAUNTED HOUSE?

No, Deadline is an escape game and is very different compared to a haunted house. You will enter the room with your team and then be given a set amount of time to solve the puzzles inside and escape. You'll directly interact with many aspects of the environment inside such as; touching things, moving things, opening things, and crawling through things etc. There are no lines to follow or set paths to traverse, just a space full of clues, items, and puzzles. It's also a lot more fun than a haunted house.

 

ARE YOUR ROOMS SCARY?

Within some of our rooms there are some elements of fright, but we wouldn't classify any of our rooms as "scary." Without giving anything away, we will say that there will be no cheesy scares popping out at you.

 

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO COMPLETE THE ROOM?

Almost all of our rooms have the same time limit to escape, which is 60 minutes. Some of our rooms may offer a longer time to escape, or a shorter one, depending on the amount of puzzles and the scenario.

 

ARE THERE AGE RESTRICTIONS TO ATTEND?

Participants ages 14 years and under MUST be accompanied by a parent while inside the actual escape room and must purchase their own ticket. Participants of age 15 - 17 must bring a copy of our waiver signed by their parent along with a copy of their parent's drivers license and must be accompanied by their parent (their parent does not have to enter the room or purchase a ticket). Participants over the age of 18 are not subject to any restrictions, but still must sign the waiver.

 

HOW LONG BEFORE MY SCHEDULED TIME DO I NEED TO ARRIVE?

We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled booking time in order to fill-out the waiver and listen to our tips and safety speech. DO NOT BE LATE, if you arrive late your booking will not be refunded or rescheduled.

 

IF I'M LATE, CAN I STILL PLAY?

If you arrive after we have started the game (the time slot you have booked), we cannot allow you inside unless all the players agree, and the game will not be restarted. This would disrupt the game for the other participating players and negatively affect the schedule for the rest of the shows. No refunds or rescheduling of show times will be offered for late arrivals or no-shows. Please take traffic into account and map us out before hand so there are no surprises.

 

I NEED TO RESCHEDULE MY RESERVATION!

In order to reschedule your booking, you MUST contact us within 2 days (48 hours) of your scheduled reservation time. No exceptions will be made if you do not contact us with AT LEAST 48 hours notice. Please be aware of this BEFORE making your booking if it is within this 48 hour window, as you will not be able to reschedule if this is the case.

 

I WOULD LIKE TO CANCEL MY RESERVATION FOR A REFUND.

In order to cancel your booking and receive a full refund, you MUST contact us within 2 days (48 hours) of your scheduled reservation time. If you contact us to cancel with more than 1 day (24 hours) but less than 2 days (48 hours) then you will only receive a 50% refund. If you contact us to cancel your booking with less than 1 day (24 hours) then you will not receive a refund for your reservation. Please be aware of this BEFORE booking your reservation time as you will not receive any refunds if you cancel with less than 1 day (24 hours) notice.

 

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN PLAY AT ONCE?

While each one of our rooms can vary, the set standard is 8 people. While there is no minimum amount of slots you must book, if you do not book the slot full, be prepared to share the room with other guests. Sharing the room will often make the experience more fun. If you want a private game, then be sure to book the full time slot.

 

WHAT IF I HAVE A GROUP LARGER THAN THE MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY?

In this case we may make exceptions. We do not advise doing the room with a group larger than the maximum due to the puzzles being designed for the specific amount of people. If you'd still like to book, then give us a call and we can help.

 

ARE THERE ACTORS IN THE ROOMS AND WILL THEY TOUCH ME?

As of right now, no. There are no actors for any of our current rooms and no one will be touching you.

 

WHAT DO I GET IF MY TEAM ESCAPES?

Teams that are able to escape before the time runs out will be able to be placed on our leaderboards. If you and your team get placed within the top 10 on the leaderboards, you will get an exclusive Planet Deadline t-shirt for beating the room in record time.

 

DO I HAVE TO BOOK ONLINE OR CAN I PAY CASH WHEN I GET THERE?

Unfortunately, we have too many instances where people make reservations to pay cash at the door and are simply no call no shows, this is a complete loss of revenue for us and we can no longer allow reservations without a card on file. You may pay with cash on arrival but in the instance of a no show the card on file will be charged for 50% of the booked rooms full capacity.

 

I ARRIVED EARLY, IS THERE ANYTHING TO DO WHILE I WAIT?

Yes, we offer a lounge that you may relax in and watch T.V or play some of the games that we offer. Alternatively, we are surrounded by a large number of eateries and shops. Don't hesitate to go visit around, as long as you get back on time.

 

WHAT IS THE PARKING SITUATION THERE?

We offer plenty of parking. There are a few spots in front of the building that are for customers of the building only. There are lots of parking spaces behind the building, and to the side as well.

 

I CAN'T FIND YOU GUYS, WHERE ARE YOU?

Our address is 4758  N Chestnut St, Colorado Springs, CO 80907. We occupy our own facility that is just a minutes drive from the Garden of the Gods exit on I-25.

 

I WANT TO BOOK FOR A BUNCH OF MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY, HOW DO I BOOK MORE THAN ONE TICKET?

In the booking process on both the PC and mobile devices, immediately after you click a Book Now button or the Book Now tab, the schedule is shown followed by a few simple steps. STEP 1: At the top of the page, you will see what room you would like to sort by, and how many tickets you'd like to purchase. The default is set to 1 ticket but may be changed to a maximum of 8. STEP 2: Choose the time that fits you and your team the best.

 

I AM PLANNING A PARTY, WHAT SERVICES DO YOU GUYS OFFER?

Whether it be a Birthday, Anniversary, or Wedding Party we are certainly a fun filled destination that provides a unique thrill you just can't get anywhere else. Unfortunately, due to the size of our facility we cannot offer a party room for your group. Fortunately, our location on Garden of the Gods means that you have an array of options for eateries and other places to meet up either before or after your escape experience.

 

DO YOU OFFER TEAM BUILDING EXERCISES FOR COMPANY OUTTINGS?

We do offer Team Building services, and we've had some businesses come and benefit from the experience. Not only will it be unparalleled with respects to adrenaline pumping fun, it is also a valuable experience for comradery with coworkers, and an insightful observation of your team's strengths. You will be provided our feedback on who was the most valuable player in the experience. You also have the option to cater for your team members.

 

IS IT POSSIBLE TO BOOK A SHOW TIME OUTSIDE OF THE CURRENT SCHEDULE?

In some cases we can book a special time slot depending on the current booking schedule, however this service will be subject to a minimum purchase. Please contact us to schedule.

 

I GOT A GIFT VOUCHER AS A PRESENT, HOW DO I REDEEM IT?

In the email containing the gift voucher certificate, there is a link listed under "How to redeem this voucher", 

 

I ALREADY PURCHASED TICKETS BUT I WANT TO BUY ADDITIONAL TICKETS FOR THE SAME TIME SLOT, CAN I DO THIS?

Yes, open your email and find the booking confirmation that was emailed to you, there is a yellow button that says View / change booking. Click this button, which takes you to your booking on our website, click the first button that says "Change" next to the room name and game time. Use the drop down to select the NEW TOTAL of tickets including your original purchase. Purchasing additional tickets is subject to availability, so there is the option to select a different time to facilitate your additional team members, or you can simply click the green BOOK button next to your original time. Scroll down to the Participants section and type the appropriate name being added under each "new person" row. Once that is complete, scroll down and select "Next." You'll find that you have the option to put the additional tickets on the credit card used originally or a new card, to finalize this transaction, check the box acknowledging our Cancellation Policy, and finally select "Confirm Booking" and you're all set.
